635 Location

635 Gliding School is based at Bae Systems, Samlesbury Aerodrome, Balderstone, Lancashire.

The airfield is situated on the A59 Preston to Skipton road, approximately 4 miles east of Preston. From Junction 31 on the M6, head east towards Skipton along the A59 dual carriageway, and at the traffic lights bear left. The BAE SYSTEMS main gate and guardroom are approximately one mile further, on the right. If transport is not provided by your Wing/CCF, pick-up from Preston Station will be provided by prior arrangement with the unit, in advance of your course. Rail warrants are available through your units.
